Rade D. Paravina, DDS, MS, PhD is a tenured professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics and director at the Houston Center for Biomaterials and Biomimetics (HCBB). He has authored/co-edited four books, 15 book chapters, and more than 270 other peer-reviewed publications. He is a recipient of the 2014 Jerome M. and Dorothy Schweitzer Research Award of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics. He is an Officer in the Executive Council of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED). He serves as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry and editorial board member for several other leading dental journals.
