Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are prevalent occupational injuries, with a notably high incidence among dental hygienists. The risk factors specific to this profession include static awkward postures, particularly those involving isometric contractions of the trapezius muscle. Additionally, clinical dental hygiene presents mental health challenges, with research indicating an increase in burnout and mental illness among practitioners. In this interactive session, participants will learn strategies for stress management, ergonomics, chair-side exercises, and ways to enhance overall wellness.
