S10: Top Pro Tips to Improve Your Endodontic Skills and Confidence – Workshop

Participation in Course S9 is a pre-requisite to participate in this workshop

This workshop is designed to focus on the treatment of root canals in 3D. The complex root canal system requires effective instrumentation and disinfection with irrigation. Efficient obturation is critical to seal these complex anatomical spaces effectively. This hands-on workshop includes activities such as instrumentation, ultrasonics, magnification, irrigation, obturation and reading CBCT volumes for endodontic cases.

Educational Objectives:

• Learn about the latest armamentarium used to access, locate canals, instrument and debride root canal systems
• Practice the learning principles of rotary instrumentation using two different rotary systems
• Examine the anatomical and clinical necessity of chemical debridement of root canal systems with irrigation
• Practice 30 obturation of root canal systems with single-cone obturation techniques, followed by placement of an effective coronal seal
• Explore multiple uses of CBCT imaging for endodontic application with hands-on practice
