This course was created by 36 years of passion for Adhesion and Composite Dentistry. Dr. Young will present, in a “wet fingered” dentist’s way, the marriage of modern materials and techniques, with researched concepts of minimally invasive dentistry (often referred to as Biomimetic Dentistry today) that date back to the mid 1980’s. Modem systems, such as the “Bioclear Matrix” and injection molding techniques, will be combined with IDS, resin coating, and stress reduction protocols to create the “super composite.” Other techniques such as tooth fragment replacement, which was considered radically extreme in the late 80’s and today is still. considered pushing the envelope by many, will be shown as well.
Educational Objectives:
- What IDS (Immediate Dentin Sealing) and resin coating is and how they solve almost all problems with adhesive dentistry.
- How to combine IDS with injection molded composites, it will change your posterior and anterior composites forever. Hint: It’s all in the matrix.
- How to treat the dreaded Black Triangle
- How to preserve severely broken-down teeth with direct injection molded composite
- How to use the best restorative material – Tooth fragments!
